Originally from Algeria, Yasmine now lives and studies in Katarokwi/Kingston. She is a community organizer committed to social justice and social change, and a recent PhD graduate in Cultural Studies at Queen's University. Her research aims to bridge theory and praxis, while engaging with questions of immigration, race, gender, and discourses of citizenship and identity in Canada and France.
